What started as a simple, heartfelt idea from my four-year-old, Emily, blossomed into a powerful community effort. While we aimed for 1000, we're immensely proud to announce that, with your incredible support, we've warmed 472 vulnerable children! Every single one of those hoodies is a testament to what happens when compassion meets action. Thank you for being a part of this profound impact.

Thank you to the efforts of all the orphanages for your hard work in the background, gathering children's names, sizes and stories for our hoodies and donor certificates.

But we couldn't have done any of this without our wonderful sponsors!

With only two weeks left until the launch of our campaign, Brother SA donated 6 sewing machines and 2 overlockers to our cause. The Aan-die-Berg Gemeente in Northcliff generously allowed us to use their premises for the first month of our initiative, and Rosebank Sunday Market provided us with a stall to connect directly to donors. Their help will always be appreciated! Bev's Burgers, Pick n Pay Northcliff Square and Impala Fruit & Veg didn't think twice before donating to our cause 😊

We got A LOT of newspaper attention😀

Our Sunday market stalls at Rosebank Sunday Market became the heart of our fundraising. The direct, personal interaction at the markets was magic! People opened their hearts, donating small amounts – R10, R50, even R100 – directly to the initiative. Your willingness to give, often just a few rand at a time, kept our sewing machines running and our hope alive 😎

Inspired by the success and learnings of the hoodie initiative, we're thrilled to announce our next big campaign for Christmas: "Fill a Stocking - Meet a Need". We'll be making beautiful Christmas stockings from our off-cuts and donated materials, available for purchase. You can then fill it for a specific child from an orphanage (with their name and a critical need!), for a child in hospital, or for a disadvantaged person of your choice.

We'll also be partnering with churches to extend our reach. This Christmas, let's create a tradition of personal, heartfelt giving. Keep an eye on our social media for our catchy teaser and more details! We can't wait to share this new journey of hope and warmth with you.

We are excited to announce that we have a new partner that has pledged to take up to 12 trainees and provide them employment in their sewing/manufacturing company. This will expose them to working on various industrial sewing machines. More info soon!
